While searching Old Coach's lists ,I find it intersting that the whole Hamilton Southeastern's team is on these lists. Either Old Coach is a great fan of HSE or HSE is loaded.

Southern Man -- We were on different pages.
I thought you meant team representation. You meant individual player representation.

I don't really look at team lists as much as individual lists. Although I do like the team lists. I have always felt that southern Indiana wasn't represented well enough. Who is responsible for getting the names out is the hot question. I think the coaches should get their player's name out, the media, and folks that use sites such as yours, RRR,... is an excellent method. I always tried to get the names out of my players as well as others that were worthy while I was coaching. Now, as a parent and a fan of girls' basketball, I want to help coaches and the media.

I am surprised there is not more talk about Brebeuf's team. They were preseason #1 last year in some polls. They lost only one player, but replaced her with arguably a better player on this years team. After watching some of their players in AAU over the years, like Amber Jackson and Amanda Quattrocci (both top 15 players) with Indy's Finest, Mohr Magic etc) and Kyria Pappas and Tashia Phillips (The Family), it's all about Family , combined with an experienced supporting cast, This team is as talented a 3A team as Ben Davis was a 4A team with Ely and Allen. Any thoughts??!!!! Also, how about the teams in Marion County? 7-8 in the top 25. The Marion County Tournament will be a meat grinder.

At one point in each of their careers,Kyra P.,Amber J.,Natalie M.(hope she plays),Amanda Q.,and Ta'Shia P. played for The Family. Unless a player chooses to no longer be considered a "Family Girl",they will forever be a part of The Family. If they remember the values that were taught to them during their playing days, there's no reason why they can't follow in the footsteps of some of their older sisters at Ben Davis and Cathedral. A State Championship is there for them to "take". Good luck ladies! Remember! On any given night, one group of young ladies can beat another,if they want it more.

Winamac should be listed in 2A 16-5 last year. Didn't lose one player to graduation.

The "old coach" must be suffering from senile dementia! Perry Meridian at #10 is a gross underestimation. But they'll prove that on their own once the season gets underway.

Obviously, the ol' coach has not seen ECC or Gary West Side play. Junior Jernita Moore led ECC in scoring and outplayed some of the other girls head to head when their teams met in competition. Gary West Side has Juniors Ashley Gates (leading scorer) and Michelle Hamblin (wing / shooter) that started on a very good team that lost in the regional final last season. ECC sophomore Kelly Watts is underestimated and plays as complete a game as any girl around!! I also agree with Gizmo about the HSE statement. Yes they have some good players, but every one is on the best player list by year? IMHO Ebony Jackson is close to being the best player on that team hands down.
