Who are some schools with tough schedules?
E.C. Central has a quality schedule this year. Some notable opponents are; South Bend Clay, Riley, Adams and St. Joe's Merrillville Gary West Side Hamilton Southeastern McDonald's Prep Classic (normally all tough teams) Indianapolis Arsenal Tech E.C. Invitational (field includes; Fenwick, Marshall, Eau Claire North, WI, Villa Angela-St. Joe, OH, Gateway Tech, MO, and Penn) Valpo and Lake Central dropped E.C. due to DAC home and away schedule

According to Sagarin Ratings Perry Meridian followed by Southport have had the toughest schedules in the state for the last 2 years. PM has had the toughest schedule for the last 4 at least. Most teams in Conference Indiana and Metropolitan Conferences are usually in the top 20 and these are the two toughest conferences. They have flipflopped over the last several years with Conference Indiana on top last year. All are 4A schools. In 3A Indpls. Roncalli at 14th and Brebeuf at 18th played the toughest schedules last year. In 2A Western Boone at 87th and in 1A Clinton Prairie at 174th had the toughest road. Each year it will change a bit, but expect both Conf. Indiana and Metro to have the toughest schedules again. The Conferences in the northern part of the state will definitly be stronger this year with teams like Gary West, Merrilville, and Warsaw vying for top spots in the state. If anyone wants to see a top tournament, the Warsaw holiday tournament last year featured Warsaw, Perry Meridian, Valparaiso, and South Bend St. Joe's. It always figures to be a good one.

The Warsaw tourney was very exciting. Christina Cunningham was fouled, shooting a 15 foot jump shot, at the buzzer (and they actually called it). She made 2 free-throws with no time on the clock to send it to overtime. She was simply sensational in the championship game. FYI: Valpo has dropped out of the Warsaw tourney and is replaced by Fort Wayne Snider.

The regional for the 3A schools in the southwestern part of Indiana has such teams as Memorial, Jasper, Vincennes, Boonville, Bosse, North Harrison, Corydon, Scottsburg, Madison, Gibson Southern, & Pike Central feeding into it. Boonville plays most of these teams. The post season has been as rough as the season. Who was the coach who arranged this schedule? Me I think!!!
