Can't post on orig. thread and I want to reply to Seeker. Seeker wrote: The MIC should be decent, but not near like they have in years past. LN, Ben Davis, should be tough, don't think Center Grove will be much, Terre Haute South may be good. ???I have to disagree. Center Grove was tougher than anyone thought last year and they only lost 1 senior. Lentz took an average team above the point of average by the end of last season. They have one more year behind them now and that should make them even better. Never doubt the magic that Lentz can do with a team. Also did you forget about North Central? They will be verrry tough this year and easily in the top 10. Warren Central should not be discounted either nor should Carmel. I think this conference is definitely one of the toughest and although I personally think North Central should win the conference, it's up for grabs for second.

Wow, sorry about that Central Indiana, I did leave off North Central. They are a top 10 team in my opinion.
With North Central, LN, Ben Davis, and maybe Carmel, Terre Haute South, they should be one of the strongest top to bottom.
However, I would have to disagree with the Center Grove opinion. I thought they graduated 3 seniors. Ladyman who was tough, but also two other starters in Mann, and Chew. At least I thought they were all seniors, and they all started when they played Carmel. As for the returning talent they have some nice players. If they can continue to improve and gain experience they could be above average. But as long as Lentz is at the helm, they will never reach their potential. I guess that is where we totally disagree. I think he has won because he has tremendous talent. Put him somewhere where he has to actually coach, and not just yell at the refs, and he will struggle.
Just my opinion, but he is definitely not one of my top coaches. Armstrong from Perry, now there is a coach.

You're right as far as seniors, but I only considered Ladyman. Chew started but never played much when I saw them. I just think of the great job Lentz did with the freshman last year, and how they worked with Deanna T.. They were not close to the same team at the end of the year after he worked with them. I still have to put Lentz up there along with Benge. He finds a way to get the job done very effectively. And yes Armstrong is a good coach as well as Ely from Perry . They make a great duo and have had a very good feeder program.

It may take a "wittle" time for that Warren team to come together, but when they do,watch out. Coach Marlow is always quiet this time of the year, but she's one of my favorites. If J & J of Carmel & LN can ever get their players to play like they did, they'll be tough to beat.

I didn't see an original thread which is why I posted one! As far as CG and Lentz and magic. I don't think so! BD and NC and LN from one conference. Perry, BN, and Pike should pretty good. Franklin Central will be right in there, too.

Wow there are a lot of good teams in the Central part of the state. You have not even mentioned Brebeuf, Martinsville, Mooresville or Hamilton S. E. in these threads. It is scary the depth of good teams in the Indy area.
