North Central scrimmmaged HSE last night. It was played as 4, 15 minute quarters with set rules on what defense could be played in each quarter. The play from each team was pretty good. North Central played well, and played many different line-ups. HSE played with the same format and played deep into their bench.
From what I saw these are two very good teams. They could be fun to watch this year, and could end up battling it out again this year once the sectional rolls around.

Are they still in the same Sectional? If so. that's too bad. They both have the potential to go deep into the State Tourrnament.

Yes, unfortunately North Central and HSE are both in sectional 9. I would say that both teams are top 10 teams in the state, but may have to play each other in a sectional game.
It was a very fun game to watch. I was amazed at the number of people that came out to watch a scrimmage game. Looked more like a regular season match-up. Both teams brought a good number of fans to the scrimmage.
It was also the first time I have seen college coaches in the stands watching a scrimmage.

Colleges have to make their observation days count,so they're going to go to games that have the most potential college players available to see at one time. That's why players transfer, and why clubs fight for players.

Beth is sick. They hope to have her back next week for their season opener against Brownsburg.
On the other hand starter Stacie Myers is injured and hopes to be back within the next two weeks.
Neither player played last night.
