:(North Central beat Kokomo tonight at it's own game, turning Kokomo turnovers into fast break buckets. Kokomo was a step slower all night long, and seemed to be playing in slow motion. North central played some very good defense, but like Kokomo seemed to struggle in the half court offense. Kokomo was able to force some early turnovers and able to get some open layups in the first half, but was unable to connect on several layups and open 5 footers, missing 6 shots uncontested from 5 foot and closer and therefore trailing by ten at half. The second half saw Kokomo forced (by some great D) to settle for 3-point shots that were usually rushed and a hand in the face, in which they were unable to connect while NC built a 20 point lead. Kokomo made one run to cut it to seven when a few threes fell, but would get no closer. Kokomo closes its' season at 12-8, not the standered season around here, but Kokomo always comes ready to play come tourney time, and rarely will kokomo play two bad games together. The potential is there for kokomo to make a run, but the team must unite as one and come to play every possession. Good luck to North central in the sectionals, they have good enough defense to cause some problems, don't over-look them or you might get bit!
