Drove down to far southeastern Indiana for a "hot" one in a sweltering gym at Jeff. Red Devils were in control most of the way after a quick 5-0 South Central start. Led was ten at the half, went out to 55-35 at the end of three. Rebels made a nice push despite their second and third best players fouled out, cutting the advantage to ten in the final three minutes before some solid Jeff FT shooting pushed the margin back out. Different point totals abounded for All-Star candidate and Indiana State signee Brittany Schoen. Someone said 43; I had her with 39 points on 12-20 shooting (9-15 from three) and 6-7 free throws, along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals. Ally Wright led a balanced Jeffersonville attack with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals. Very good crowd, including an impressive turnout by the visitors. Jeff's got as short a team as I've seen them have in a dozen years, but they've got solid athleticism and plenty of room for improvement in the coming months.
