Northeast Dubois steadily pulls away at home against larger rival Paoli. Solid ball movement and unselfish play by the Jeeps was the difference. Talked to a fan who had seen 1A #2 Wood Memorial the previous evening...said the defending semistate champs were better inside but overall was more impressed with the depth and balance of NE Dubois. Paoli has a young team but showed good resolve in cutting a 22 point lead down to 55-41 with five minutes to play. Home team countered with a game-clinching 15-0 run over the next three minutes. All-State candidate Allison Matheis led the way with 20 points, including five three-pointers.
