The Lady Jaguars returned home last night to face MWAC and Reg. 24 opponent S**efoul** River coming out with a 100-53 win. The Jaguars jumped to a 8-0 start and after SRC trimed the lead to 9-5 the Jaguars went on a run of 10-0 to open the game up, never looking back leading at half 54-33. The Jaguars out scored the Mudcats 46-20 in the second half coming out of the locker room on a 12-0 run. All ten players scored for the Jaguars with Kassie Yates scoring 20 on 6/7 shooting from outside the arch while Chelsy Miller had 19 pts along with 8 boards. Abby Kinder had a double double with 11 points and 10 assists to go with 7 rebounds. Also in double figures were Sarai Rose (11 pts) and Brittani Brandon with 11 pts. Next the Jaguars travel to Illinois Valley CC in Oglesby on Saturday at 2:00 and return to MWAC action on Wednesday at Lincoln beginning at 5:30. The Jaguars return home on Saturday Feb 7th to play Lewis & Clark at 2:00.
On Feb. 14th the Jaguars will play John Wood CC at home; this game is dedicated by DACC and the WBCA as PINK Day in their efforts to raise breast cancer awareness. The Lady Jaguars have raised $850 already and all proceeds from the game will go toward the Kay Youw WBCA Cancer Fund.
