This is actually a response to Tyler's earlier thread which I can no longer reply to. Here are my "Top 15 NW Indiana Players", by positions. I tried to balance my "team" by position. 4s and 5s - DeMuth (M'ville), Kerns (Valpo), Moore (M'ville), Vanderzanden (LC), and Davies (GWest) 2s and 3s - Jolley (M'ville), Erica Humes (Valpo), Jernigan (ECC), Moore (ECC), Watts (ECC), and Butler (GMann) 1s - Hutton (Valpo), Drake, (GWest), Walters (BG) and Pruzin (CP). These players are in no particular order and only reflect my opinion. Please post other players from the area that are missing or I may have forgotten. All I can say is there is a ton of talent in the Region this year and I could take these kids against any other area team in the State!

I might add Kiki Bytner from Calumet to your list of 1's or 2's and Papach from Whiting but other than those two it looks like you hit the very high first tier! The second tier right next to those 15 are not bad either! As you said NWI has some players this year!

I would also add McDonald from Portage on there as well under the 1's or 2's. Her stats from last year are equivalent if not better than 1's in the first post. Other than that, it looks as though those girls are the ones to watch this winter. It should be an exciting time in Northwest Indiana.

I certainly agree that McDonald is an often overlooked factor in the Duneland. She will be the foundation for Portage this year on both ends of the court.
Walters from Boone Grove is another strong candidate listed. She is overlooked at times because of her smaller school setting, but anyone who has seen her play will agree that she belongs on any list mentioning tops in NWI. She has a constant smile on during the action, no matter what the situation.
