Evansville Memorial guard Natalie Cohlmeyer scored 17pts to finish with 1003 career points and her 71st career win in their 50-48 victory over 3A number 5 ranked Scottsburg. Natalie had to overcome ACL reconstructions on both knees as a sophomore and junior but has still posted a HS career that includes 2 undefeated conference championships, 3 conference tourney championships, a Twin Lakes tourney championship, a Hall of Fame runner up and All Tournament Team selection, 2 Sectional Championships, 2 Regional Championships, 1 Semistate Championship, and the first State Basketball Championship in her schools history. She has a career win/loss record of 71 wins vs only 10 losses, including 21-1 vs 4A teams. So far this season she is averaging 20 ppg/4 rpg/3spg/2apg.
She has a 5.9/.6.0 unweighted GPA on an AP college prep curriculum, and is signed on a full scholarship to play for NCAA Division 1 Belmont University, where she will attend their 6 year PharmD program.

As a tribute to both her determination and the coaches, team mates, and friends that helped her along I put together this video that documents her journey through both ACLs all the way to the Indiana 3A state championship and her subsequent commitment to Belmont.

Not in the video, but a special shout out to Dr. Peter Sallay and the other miracle workers at Methodist Sports in Indianapolis, without whom none of the above would be possible.
Merry Christmas to all and hope all your Hoop Dreams come true.
