It looks like the landscape will be changing in southwest Indiana. With the new IHSAA rule Ev. Mater Dei will move to 3A and Vincennes Rivet will move to 2A. Rivet will move in with Sullivan and North Knox? Will Mater Dei move into the Evansville area 3A bumping Princeton and Gibson Southern back up to the Vincennes/Jasper Sectional like last time Mater Dei was a 3A? It will be interesting. When will they be doing the realignment?

Rivet not moving, they will still be in 1A next year, and prob the favorite to win it. To move up you either have to be runner up 2 years in a row or win a regional and state title. Rivet has a runner up finish and the previous season lost in the sectional. Not enough to move up.
Keep in mind the two year results have to be in the same classification cycle. So if Rivet wins State next year they will still be in 1A even though they will have a title and a runner up finish in a 2 year span
