How many observers were at the "Top 100" ? I wondered how many coaches actually attended, and also impressions on individual on-floor skills.

The Top 100 was very well organized, and well run. I applaud the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association and the IHSAA.
I thought the play was very good. It is a shame that this workout conflicted with the large the Chicago Nike tourney. This may have kept some of the other top players from participating.

Maybe next year the IHSAA can hold a Top 100 Senior event and a Top 100 Underclass(10,11) event. Just a thought. Do one in the morning and one in the afternoon-evening. A lot depends on the new NCAA calendar.

I thought they did a pretty good job of selecting the best players around the state. You need to remember that they could only pick a certain number from each District. It may seem a little unfair, but the majority of the talent is in Central Indiana. When that happens, and only a certain number can be chosen, then some may be left off because of the rules.
Also there were many that had other obligations to fill, so they did not attend. I would hope that next year they don't try to make the players pick one event over the other. They should try to work with the player's schedules and not against them. That would be my only complaint.
But the players that did come did a great job, and represented themselves very well.

Seeker:
I'm not sure how it can be determined that the majority of the talent is in Central Indiana! I don't know who you are or how you can make a statewide determination like that, but it is typical and shows the bias the rest of the state is up against in all areas of basketball and other sports!

Pavlo,
I did not mean to offend anyone. My use of words was poor. What I meant to say that due to the fact the Central Indiana happens to have the largest population, the majority of the talent would probably be in Central Indiana. That is why some of the players in this area may not have been selected who live there.
I know that there is a great deal of talent throughout Indiana.
Again Pavlo, sorry to upset you.

Seeker: No offense taken Just some historical information to add to the discussion: North champions : 12 Central champions: 10 South champions: 6 Central includes Kokomo (3) and Martinsville (2) which could easily be considered North and South respectively. These are the one-class champions and the 4A champions in the multi-class system. The North dominated the early years and the Central, including Kokomo and Martinsville, the last 10 years. Outstanding coaches and competitive teams have a lot to do with it.
