Kayleigh Dye for Triton Central should take a huge step this season to replacing Jessica Scherer in the post for the Tigers. Kayleigh has great size at 6'1, a soft but strong shot and blocks shots on a regular basis. Look for this Soph. to be one of the best true post players in the state in a couple of years. Dye played in 18 Varsity games as a freshman last year and avg. 5.2pts. 3.6 rebs. and 1 blk per game.

Amber Harris of North Central and Laura Bugher of Indianapolis Lutheran are both sophomores and are two of the best players in the state, regardless of class.

Dee Ann Rayburn from Attica is a sophomore point guard who led an extremely young Rambler squad (4 freshman started) last year in scoring (13 pts.), assists (3.4), and steals (2.3). In addition, she was the team's 2nd leading rebounder (4.1). Two other sophomores for the Ramblers will show much improvement for head coach David Baxter. They are Ivy Hurst and Suz Shirley. Together they form a nice inside/out punch. Good luck this season Ramblers!

Melissa Lechlitner--- South Bend St. Joe Meranda Burnett------ Tri-Central Both played very well for their age and atmosphere This is a good class--- 2006

There are some players that I coached last summer that could help their programs. From Brown County are Hayden Kemerly & Amanda Fields. Chloe Wonnell from Mt. Carmel, Illinois, Mindy Mattingly & Lucy Little from Boonville. All will have some sort of role with their teams this year. All of these girls were part time varsity (mostly JV) last year. Others members of this team were full time varsity already, most of which were impact players. This includes Ashley Snodgrass (Boonville), Fahkara Malone (Memorial), & Jesse Oxley (Tecumseh). One ninth grader that will be an impact for sure will be Misty Wynn (Boonville).

Has anyone mentioned Brook Burgess(Brownsburg),or LeShonda Lillard & Meagan ?(AWOL) (Bloomington South)? All three are good. Miss Valek at Zionsville might be ready to show that the "Sister" at Purdue isn't the only "player" in the family.

Two sophs that you will hear alot about this year are Amanda Stull and Ashley Ponsler from Rushville. Stull,a 5'9 point guard, led the Lady Lions in scoring, rebounding, assists, steals, and FT% as a Frosh. Also scored the third most points of any Frosh in School history. Ponsler, a 5'8 shooting guard, started all 21 games and scored 8 pts/game and avg almost 5 rebs/game. She scored the 5th most points of any Frosh in school history. Their team will be much improved this season, with 5 Sophs in all playing varsity basketball for the Lady Lions.

ECC will have 3 sophomores who will play major minutes this year. Dee Dee Jernigan, Kelly Watts and Donesha Cunningham all will get varsity minutes and possible start. Many of you know about Jernigan but our over looking Watts and her terrific all around game. Cunningham is a transfer and is solid in the post. Gary West Side's Erica Simpson should play major minutes down low for the Cougars.

Two talented sophs from Perry Meridian are Rachel Terlep and Chelsea Holliday. Terlep is a wing player who does the dirty work that helps her team win. Holliday is a very talented point guard who does alot of things well. Perry is loaded at these girls positions and it will be difficult for them to get alot of playing time. Could start on alot of varsity teams.

;)I had to opportunity to coach Chelsea Holliday this summer and I would have to agree that she could play for most varsity teams. My daughter love playing with her when she played for the BC Daze.

Sophs from central Indiana, try the best point guard in the sophomore class in Beth Marshall from HSE. She has the best court vision around, best ball handling, and can score 20 a game if need be, she is the real deal.
If she wasn't playing behind Ashlee McGee last year, she would have put up even bigger numbers than she did. I believe she averaged 10 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals a game. Not bad as a frosh, and playing behind McGee.
I would say the HSE coaching staff needs to figure a way to keep her on the court much more this year than last.
